In this book, Frank King outlines the history and science of time measurement using sundials, and Lida Lopez Cardozo Kindersley explains how to design and make sundials so that they not only relate to our position on the Earth and the Earth’s place in the heavens but they also delight the eye.

Frank King served as a senior pastor of churches for over twelve years. From the onset, he had a passion for outreach and soul winning. During his first pastorate he ministered to Africa, the British West Indies, and several cities in the United States by way of radio. Frank is the author of Indiscreetly Yours, a Christian novel for teens and college-age readers that underlines the importance of exercising sound judgment in the area of dating. His most recent book, Steps to the Victorious Walk, provides a biblical road map for Christians desiring to progress from a genuine salvation experience to a victorious walk with the Lord.

Minister King currently ministers as an evangelist, preaching the authoritative Word of God without compromise, doctrinally sound, and with a passion to see the people of God live victoriously in Christ. Through the grace of God, Brother King has been blessed to regularly cross cultural lines in his preaching.                                                                Website: http://www.efrankking.com.      Blog: http://wwwefrankking.blogspot.com.

NOTE: This is an original  book from the library gathered by the famous Cambridge Don, computer scientist, food and wine connoisseur, Jack Arnold LANG. Note: Jack founded the Michelin Guide ‘Midsummer House’- Cambridge’s paramount restaurant. This dining experience is hidden amongst the grassy pastures and grazing cattle of Midsummer Common and perched on the banks of the River Cam. The Midsummer House experience is imaginatively curated to delight and amaze, so the surprise set menu changes regularly and is ‘Midsummer’s’ playground to showcase.

In 2008, Jack was one of the co-founders of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, alongside other members of the Department, and acted as the Foundation’s Chair. The project’s original goals were modest: to build and distribute low-cost computers for prospective applicants to our Computer Science degree. Initially the project was a “success disaster”, as Jack would say, as demand far outstripped the low-scale manufacturing plans. Ultimately the Raspberry Pi became the UK’s most successful computer with more than 60 million sold to date. Jack was drawn to the educational possibilities of the Raspberry Pi, its potential uses in emerging economies and the way it could support self-directed learning.
