A Near Fine copy of the British of the world-famous novel which coined the expression, “What Would Jesus Do?” This is the UK first edition and from the Preface the printing history of this story by Charles M Sheldon, pastor of a Congregationalist Church in Topeka, Kansas, was that the story was first composed in the winter of 1896 and read in weekly instalments to his congregation. There are 12 chapters. It was then printed as a serial in The Advance (Chicago). It was then issued as a “paper covered volume” at a price everyone could afford. This hardcover book, printed in London, England, is the first hardcover issue printed outside the United States.
