Review: When I first picked up this book and began to thumb through the content, I stopped at pages 276/7 across which is an aerial view of Bora Bora. From that single photograph it is easy to see why this island has been described as the most beautiful place on earth. I immediately resolved to visit that island one day – and so I shall. This is a book about the best that the world has to offer. It is a great book simply bursting with facts and figures about so many places it is hard to produce a suitable précis for this review. Suffice to say, both the Arctic and Antarctic and just about every single outstanding place in between those two extremes, have found a place in this book. Lake Assal, Skeleton Coast, Taroko Gorge, Giants Causeway, Heavenly Mountains, Glacier Bay, Badlands, Lake Titicaca, The Pantanal are just a few of the 138 individually described natural wonders found throughout the world and also described in this excellent product.
