First Edition. pp. 304, numerous b/w photographs, b/w diagrams & maps. Dust jacket fine, bright, not price-clipped, signed by W G Potter, Abingdon School to the reverse beneaththe front flap, protected in the publisher’s clear Duraseal sleeve. Green buckram boards very good. Contents clean and tight, WGP January 1979 (see notes) penned to the top of the front free endpaper, no other marks. A fine copy. [Provenance – W G Potter 1930 – 2020. He took his degree at Pembroke, Oxford, where he was Captain of Boats. He went on to be Head of Biology at Abingdon school from 1955 until his retirement in 1992, he also coached the Boat Club from 1955 to 1994. He went on to assist in the management on the Oxford Blues having four successes over Cambridge in the 1990s
