Superb illustrations and photographs.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Printing, 1950. Octavo; green cloth boards with gilt details to spine – bright, clean and square. Top edge reddish purple, other edges of text block clean and square, light age-toning only. xi + 257pp. There is a little minor staining to prelims, but the main body of the text is in very nice condition indeed, tight, bright and clean. No markings or inscriptions throughout. Profusely illustrated with Hartley’s artwork, and on this occasion, text also, since this is a tribute to the friend with whom she collaborated on various previous works. Dust wrapper unclipped, predominantly complete, clean and bright, but fragile. Spine slightly darkened and rubbed to sides and extremities, with minor chips and small losses there, and to fold over creases. Overall, an attractive and well above-average copy of this now uncommon title
