Please view the photographs: All the prose in this volume is contained in the Penguin Classics edition, “Charles Baudelaire: Selected Writings on Art and Literature,” and the Penguin has additional works such as Baudelaire’s “Richard Wagner and Tannhaeuser in Paris” and “The Painter of Modern Life.” The Penguin translation is by P.E. Charvet and I’d say it is at least as good, if not better, than Jonathan Mayne’s [translator for “The Mirror of Art”]. And the Penguin edition is still in print. “The Mirror of Art” does come with over 60 black and white illustrations of many of the works discussed in the essays. The Penguin edition is not illustrated — that’s its main weakness. But you can probably find images of most of the works discussed on Google.
