It’s hard to choose a favorite book out of this series, but besides the Clan of The Cavebear, this is my favorite book of the series. Ayla goes through the most character growth in this one. We also get to see many other groups and ways of living that we don’t get to revisit in any of the other books. It’s a unique reading experience.
