The Annals of Sporting and Fancy Gazette; a Magazine containing Every Thing Worthy of Remark on Hunting, Shooting, Coursing, Racing, Cricket, Billiards, Rowing, Sailing. London: Sherwood, Neely, and Jones, 1822-1828 (in 14 volumes)
According to Schwerdt, ‘This Magazine, published in the beginning of the 19th century, when hunting in this country was at its height — ranks immediately after the Sporting Magazine and has the additional attraction of a number of coloured plates’.
This single volume contains 6 of the original 78 parts (in 14 volumes) including engravings which are hand coloured by Alken, Cruikshank, Roberts, Sutherland, Berenger, and Landseer. It is in good order though as displayed in the photographs it has a little foxing.
