An Essay on Mineral, Vegetable, Animal and Aerial Poisons including the general symptoms, treatment, tests, morbid appearances, &c. with the means of restoring suspended animation by Steggall, John

Second edition. 12 hand colored lithograph plates. As illustrated in a nicely bound book. Published by S. Highley, London, 1833

The first 50 pages of this delicate little volume describe the symptoms and counteragents to a wide variety of poisons, while the second section illustrates and describes the physical attributes of different plants which are poisonous.

An interesting book whose reproduction today in the EU is often considered improper for it has been described as a ‘poisoners bible’.
