A beautiful book to hold and feel.

It’s a good, but difficult book. If anyone is familiar with ‘Strong’s Concordance’ (Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek) for the King James Bible then know that this Dictionary is not as ‘User Friendly’. I am still trying to Understand the Format of this Book in order to Produce a Method in order to Use it for the Purpose I Intended.

It seems that I shall have to learn the Characters of Arabic Script to make Full Use of This Dictionary. Note that only the ‘Alphabet’ would be needed, and not an Extensive Knowledge of Arabic. I have bought a Children’s Book that Teaches Arabic Script, now I need Time and Effort. Not too difficult. 🙂 Also, I would recommend a Translation of The Qur’an such as Abdullah Yusuf Ali’s as this has The Qur’an written in The Original Arabic and then The English Translation (Each Page Is Split Into Two). Without the Arabic, this Dictionary would be of No Use for Searching for Possible Translation Errors in an English Qur’an.

I would Certainly recommend this Dictionary to anyone seeking to Understand Non-Arabic English Translations/Interpretations of The Noble Qur’an. Especially to British Muslims as this is their Main Holy Book. Here is My Case for Suggesting this Dictionary and a Commitment to Study: Over the past 13 Months I have Read 2 Different English Translations of The Noble Qur’an. Though they say The Same Things Often, they Sometimes Contradict Each Other or Differ in Shades/Nuances of Meaning. Translation Errors MUST Have Occurred. Thus The Need For a Dictionary of Qur’anic/Archaic Arabic. As a Final Note. Though I cannot Yet use This Dictionary for The Purpose I Bought It, I can Still look through it and Learn At Least Something about Qur’anic Arabic.
