Jacques Auguste de Thou (Thuanus) (8 October 1553, Paris – 7 May 1617, Paris) was a French historian, book collector and president of the Parlement of Paris.
Jacques Dupuy (or Jacques du Puy or Monsieur de Saint Sauveur ), born in Tours onSeptember 24, 15911 and died in Paris onNovember 17, 1656, is a French librarian and scholar, son of the humanist magistrate Claude Dupuy and brother of Pierre Dupuy , with whom he formed a famous pair, the “Dupuy brothers”.
