A useful book to have with one when out bird watching

Review: I find this book extremely useful because it not only tells us what the bird eats and where it can be found, but it gives a brief narrative description of the bird’s behaviour. One bird will startle and run away while another will keep dabbling in the mud until an observer gets close. The colour photos and line drawings are excellent and show the bird in its environment. As a field guide, the book is tough in hardback, but might get a little heavy if carried all day.
