Hardback. Condition: Very Good. 1st. First edition hardback, 1940, with no jacket. In overall very good used condition with minor signs of age, handling and storage – boards slightly rubbed to edges. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; toning to page-ends but text, maps to endpapers and illustrations bright and clear throughout.
