A good & very clean copy

At the age of twelve, Lucy, an attractive, intelligent child already becoming aware of her fiercely independent nature and the open hostility of her parents crumbling marriage, ran away from school. She led a bohemian, nomadic existence, finding shelter and companionship where she could, sporadically returning home to a despairing mother in Richmond and later, to cook at her father’s new acquired hotel in the Scottish highlands. She lived on the Haifa beach; scampered naked across the sands of the Golan Heights; journeyed through Europe; including Greece and Yugoslavia. She travelled with Jesus freaks, peasants and babies. She made scrappy meals with strangers and accepted rides from almost anyone. This is an adventure of a young woman who lived and dreamed far outside the usual limits.
