TOM BEVAN – 1868 to 1937 was a Prolific author of boys’ historical fiction, he was said to have written more than 70 works. Born in a Welsh mining community, he went to school in Gloucester and trained as a teacher in Cheltenham. He wrote whilst continuing to teach, and had an editorial post at a major publisher. Two of his books were set in the Forest of Dean.
