I like the premise for this book, which takes you around all the regions of England showing what is left of medieval buildings and telling you interesting bits about medieval life and history along the way. It’s an easy and engaging read. However, not all of the photos are in colour; the majority are, but it’s still frustrating that some of them are in black and white. Still, definitely worth a look through and a read.
