James Herriot writes about the glorious moors, the gentle dales, dry-stone walls and sturdy farmhouses, ruined abbeys and castles among the hills, market towns, country villages and bracing, windy beaches, as he shares his love of Yorkshire.

Review: This edition which has some of James Herriot’s stories about his life as a vet, many years ago, is beautifully illustrated. Also the paper is of much better quality than a paperback copy of his stories and has a foreword written by Jim Wight, his son. I feel it would be a welcome addition to the bookshelf of ones who like this sort of subject as much as I do.
