In April 1989, Imran Khan set out to travel throughout Pakistan, from the mouth of the great Indus river, following the 10,000 miles to its source in the Himalayas. This is an account of his trip in which his anecdotes and observations give an insight into Pakistan’s past and present.
Review: Well researched work by former cricketer Imran Khan. It is written from the point of view of Khan, how he saw Pakistan a few decades ago. It still is good today as things don’t change in Pakistan except new buildings in large cities. I own Lonely Planet travel guide to Pakistan & the Karakoram Highway written by foreigners who haven’t a clue about Pakistan, and it had only a handful of photographs which missed the beauty Pakistan possesses. Indus Journey is full of breathtaking panoramic photographs which could also serve as a travel guide.
