FIRST BRANGWYN ILLUSTRATED EDITION. Complete in four volumes. Each volume with five black and white plates, including a frontispiece, illustrated by Brangwyn. One of 1500 copies printed for the British market. Publisher’s cream buckram, with black titles on red striped backing to spines and uppers. Top edges gilt; others untrimmed. Heavy spotting to endpapers, otherwise internally clean. Bindings quite heavily toned, with moderate wear. Very good. A new edition of Shelton’s 1612 / 1620 translation with illustrations by Brangwyn.
