When treasure was stolen, he tricked the clever thief into confession, but he in turn tricked him back. To aid children, brief biographies of the heroes, villains and gods who appear in the tales are given. The atmospheric illustrations are intended to transport children to a fantasy kingdom of larger-than-life pharaohs.
