A selection of the letters written by Dirk Bogarde to an American woman between 1967 and 1972. He never saw or spoke to her, yet at certain times during that period he was writing her a letter every day. The correspondence was triggered when she saw a photo in a magazine which showed him outside a Surrey country house – a house she herself had lived in during the 1930`s.
Review: Loved the book! You are reading through the mind of the author. He is writing letters to Mrs X, and is totally at home and comfy in her presence, you feel as though they have met, although they haven’t. Absolutely well worth the read. Dirk Bogarde has done it again!
