This edition of “The Book of Common Prayer” presents the text of the 1552 version set forth by the Act of Uniformity at the accession of Queen Elizabeth I in 1558, the so-called Second Prayer Book, which has remained in daily use in Anglican churches for over 430 years. • This is a lovely book and had most of the features we were looking for, however I should have looked more closely at the size. I had expected and wanted something more pocket sized, or normal book size, but this was more like A4 size. We sent it back and ordered something different. Also, the design on the front was lovely….I just wished it had been a smaller book with a hard cover.
