Reviews:
Although another reviewer commented that this book is “old fashioned” I love the detail of the designs which are so much more realistic than in many charts. I like the shading effect that lifts the animals, birds etc out of the cartoon depiction so often found in cross stitch design books. The elephant design is the best I’ve ever seen in a book. Having said that, most of the designs are suitable for people of average skill and beginners who are prepared to take a bit of time over them. They would not really be suitable for greetings cards, being too detailed, although elements of some of the designs could be used, for example one of the penguins instead of the whole group would make an excellent Christmas card, and the delightful white cats wouldn’t take too long to stitch. I’m glad I bought this book.
Loads of lovely animals, birds and butterflies to cross stitch. A book worth every penny.
