This is often described as the definitive George III book.

This book gives a clear insight into the life of the royals, especially George III, circa the 18th century. It also shows how the German approach to government differed from that of the British politicians, which caused the ‘Georges’ considerable frustration. It takes a bit of getting into & the time-line is sometimes hard to follow, but it is well worth persisting even if only to give one a better understanding of modern politics (which obviously hasn’t changed much)!
