The articles are categorised by game species (i.e. antelope, elephant, etc.) as well as a long, general article on big game shooting with a lengthy bibliography. The four-volume edition features extended coverage of topics such as cricket, fencing, fishing, ballooning, air flight, track and field, skating, etc. Highlighted by the lovely coloured plates by Archibald Thorburn, Edmund Caldwell and others. Numerous photos and diagrams.
