first edition, first impression of Robert Graves’s popular biography of T. E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia. Graves was an English poet, novelist, critic and classicist, best known for his extremely successful historical novel, ‘Claudius’ This authorised biography is credited for its ability to offer a fair and balanced view regarding his life, written from the perspective of a famed author in his own right. The work benefits from the many interviews Graves conducted with both Lawrence himself and also his close associates.
