Mick Channon has scaled the twin peaks of both football and horse racing during a double sporting life that will surely never be equalled. He has enjoyed laps of honour at Wembley and ridden down the straight mile at Ascot in a horse drawn carriage as a guest of the Queen. The Authorised Biography is packed with hilarious intimate anecdotes and spine-tingling achievements. This is Mick Channon’s story.
Review: Bought this book for a friend who had been looking for Mick Channon’s biography but wasn’t sure if he had had one published. He was over the moon when I found it for him and gave it to him as a present.
The Author, a former Sportswriter of the Year, Peter Batt has worked as a columnist for most British daily and Sunday newspapers. He has also written scripts for EastEnders and published his own autobiography, Batty. He has been a friend of Channon’s for more than 30 years.
