History & Provenance

A very fine example of the best of modern Greek craftsmanship reproducing precise examples of Byzantine masterpieces. Origin of Filigree Art. It consists of fine metal wires which are crafted beautifully to give an extraordinary blend of ancient and the modern art. Originated in Mesopotamia and Egypt (believed as filigree art’s first countries). There are three types of famous filigree works i.e. rose work, siko work, and jari work. The craftsmen manufacture the silver webs though their hands and some metal bending tools. The process of manufacturing filigree is very peculiar in nature.
